Minimalism was not just a style choice but was something wanted to integrate in the process of construction as well as life style itself. Minihouse is a series of partial prefab housing prototype made of strong concept and reduced construction time and cost. Big windows with tall ceiling height of 5m give s epic scale of space inside. From years of R&D, we reinvented the new wall build-up and a dynamic structure to offer everyone a unique living experience at a fraction of normal housing cost. (collaboration with Mind Glampers)
Three cubes / stones interconnect with each other to create dynamic spaces inside and out. The Rolling Stones aim at providing multipe focal points from inside as well as maintaing privacy between each units.
The design envisions flexible expansion or division of usable units within 3 cubes or more.
The structure is also requires minimum foundation to disturb the existing condition of the site as little as possible.
Cubiks is a word play on Rubiks Cube. Like the toy, different rotation of two types of prefabricated facades generate 2 completely different configuration of a house., externally as well as internally.
Cubiks B provides well divided interior layout with bath tub in the middle of the buidling. Cubiks C maximizes the impact of an open plan while inviting the whole panoramic landscape from outside.
Jekyll and Hyde are the same person with two completely different personality. Likewise we used the exactly same metal frame to created two dramatically different persona of a space.
Jekyll is an upstanding massing with square floor plates. The cut corners create the only openings of the building, while outdoor pool reflects its footprint to the outdoor.
Hyde is a tilted version of Jekyll, where the floor plates change dramatically on each floor. It is a unique experience to navigate through inside the Hyde.
Zigzag is a multi-unit housing scheme with equal importance on outdoor as much as in doors. Triangular units are made of the same structural frame, but the way they stack introduces deep terrace / pool area on each unit. The stacking logic itself gives individual character to the whole building, whether vertically or horizontally depending on the site condition.
Ganggang is a choreography of dancing boxes. 4 types of room units stack and stagger to achieve maximum flexibility of the internal division. The design maximizes its benefit on prefabrication logic.
